I’ve enjoyed various forms of “scribbling” since I was two.  My first performance art piece involved a permanent black marker and a bright yellow wall in my family’s breakfast nook.  The reviews were not stellar but I didn’t let my critics deter me. In the second grade, my adventure into poetry began.  Teachers encouraged my innovative ways...Mrs. Schatz gave me origami papers from a trip to Japan that inspired my third grade mind to dream of faraway places and to treasure the feel of beautiful papers.  In fourth grade, I discovered the profound pleasure of sending and receiving mail and began dreaming of the day when I would start my own greeting card company.   Twenty years later...I did. And I've been writing and creating with the desire to inspire ever since.

The Apron Aerie on beautiful Whidbey Island,   in Washington State, hosts wonderful small gatherings and retreats.  I anticipate several in my 2017 calendar.  If you have a group that would like to gather around my table, write me and let's see if we can create something inspirational and memorable. Let me know what you have in mind...
