If my work has impacted you in a way you believe would inspire others, please share your story.  I'm curious if you have any of my work hanging in your house.  Do you remember how it came to you?  Have you used any of my words in a speech, training, presentation, ceremony? I'd love to have you share...

hi Mary Ann,
And hi to Everybody else,

Back at the turn of the century I lived in the outskirts of Milwaukee and Chicago for four years. As a German girl turning 30 it was a great time and experience that has influenced me very positively in the following years. Next to the Karmann Ghia Convertable that is the same as age I am, the most important item to me that I brought back is a card of your aphorism 'live with intention' which you had dined with the name of Mary Ann Hershing.
This cover sheet of an notepad always had a special place in my homes - in the guest bathroom, as this is the only place people are truly private and can take as much time as they want to to think about this wonderful aphorism.
Last night I had a good friend over and we talked about our kids, our husbands, life in general and as kind of typical for people between 35 and 50 about human psycho. When she left this morning at 7 am after a full night of talking, I went to the bathroom and saw the turned coversheet of you aphorism, which was facing the window. I took a picture of it and sent it to my friend who was on her bike on her way back home to take a nap.
Even though the aphorism jumped at me about 17 years ago - I think my interpretation now, being married with three kids and full time working mum, is much wider now then back then when I bought it.
Thank you so much for these wonderful selection of words!
Now that I for the first time googled you name and came across your new (formerly German?) name, I am eager to read your books!
Greetings from Germany,

I use to live in London and a few years ago I was going through a period of feeling down and unmotivated. I felt that I had to make a few decision in my life in order to change. One morning on the train on my way to work I saw the word COURAGE painted on the side of a building. It jumped out at me. I asked the person next to me whether they noticed the sign before and if they knew when it was painted. They answered that it has been there for years.Even though I've been taking that same train for nearly 2 years, I'd not seen that sign before.
Later that same day I received an e-mail from a friend, who had no idea what I was going through. The e-mail simply contained your quote: "Courage does not always roar...."
It was still not easy, but it was easier to take those first steps to making the necessary changes in my life.
I now use that quote regularly in conversations and cherish your little book called "Courage does nto always roard".
Thank you!

Hi! I got a notebook that was designed by you and brush dance a few years ago. It is beautiful and I use it for just about everything, I was just looking at it and it had this website on the back of it, so I decided to check it out. You have inspired me in so many ways. Your quotes are great and I live by them everyday.
By the way, I am 15 years old. Thank you, for sharing your words with others. Especially me.

Hello Mary,

I live in California. To be true I have never heard of you or about your work before today but I think it is necessary to share my experience on how I am here writing this note for you. As a normal weekend I went down to bar hopping with friends parked my car in a structure and got drunk. After party was over, I head straight back to my car and as I was starting to drive, I saw an envelope sitting on my car's wind shield. First I was scared that I got parking ticket but when I picked up the envelope and turned around I see a note on it saying "Hope your day is good" . I was little relaxed and surprised.

Later I opened the envelope and see a nicely written quote "As we work to create light for others, we naturally light our own way." and it had your name on it with a hash tag #justcausegood . It really touched my heart. Not to forget there was also a lottery ticket in that envelope. After a long day when you see that their people who spread good words around and make people happy it just makes your day. I am thankful to that person who left that note on my car and also thankful to you for doing what you are doing.

This is how I got here and end up writing this note for you. I will remember to #justcausegood

Have a great day !
